Minister Tarek el Mulla
Cairo - Arab Today

Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tarek el Mulla hailed the deep-rooted relations and partnership between Egypt and the UAE.

This came during his speech while inaugurating two new Emarat Misr gas stations in the fifth settlement in Cairo.

In a press release on Sunday, the Petroleum Ministry said the minister directed to support UAE investments in petroleum sector. He pointed out to the importance of increasing the number of Emarat Misr gas stations in Egypt.

There are great opportunities to invest in gas stations within the new roads national project currently implemented in Egypt, the minister said.

Meanwhile, UAE Ambassador in Cairo Gomaa Mubarak said he is looking forward to discussing ways to boost relations with Egypt especially in the economic field.

He added that the volume of trade between the two countries reached USD 3.5 billion, adding that the volume of UAE investments in Egypt exceeds USD 6.2 billion via 877 joint companies. The ambassador also expected more joint investment after the new investment law that was approved earlier by the Egyptian government.
