
Peshmerga forces announced the liberation of two villages belonging to the Zammar district in Nineveh province, from the Islamic State's control.
A member PUK in Nineveh, Ghiath Surji said in a press statement that "the Peshmerga forces attacked the terrorists' positions in these two villages and managed to free them from the terrorists."
He added: "The terrorists were attacking the Peshmerga forces from these villages and firing mortar rounds toward the Peshmerga forces."
He stressed that "the Peshmerga forces continue to progress to liberate all areas from the terrorists' control." .
