Parl speaker: Foreign documents on Tiran and Sanafir issue not argument against us

Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal said foreign documents saying that Tiran and Sanafir islands are Egyptian are not arguments against the parliament.
He expounded that the parliament depends on Armed Forces documents and maps while addressing the Tiran and Sanafir issue.
Abdel Aal's remarks came on the back of comments by an expert saying that there are foreign documents proving that the islands are Egyptian not Saudi.
Egypt and Saudi Arabia signed in April last year a maritime demarcation agreement which places the two Red Sea islands of Tiran and Sanafir in the Saudi waters.
An Egyptian court has issued a final ruling rejecting the deal which aims at transferring the two uninhabited Red Sea islands to Saudi Arabia.
