Beirut - Arabstoday

One Palestinian was wounded in Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in the coastal city of Sidon Wednesday after a verbal altercation turned violent. Ibrahim Khalil was in the process of renovating the entrance to a mosque in the camp when some cement was accidentally poured on Wisam Abu-Sweid. The two engaged in a verbal row during which Khalil became incensed, pulled put a firearm and shot Abu-Sweid several times in his legs. Abu-Sweid was transferred to a nearby hospital and Khalil fled. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Follow-up Committee has launched an investigation into the matter and asked Camp security to search for Khalil and arrest him. If Camp security, which is made up of Palestinians, succeeds in capturing Khalil, they would be asked to transfer him to the Lebanese authorities.
