The Palestinian security bodies support peaceful political action and marches in conformity with directives by Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas, security authority spokesman Adnan al-Damiri said.
In statements to MENA here on Sunday he said that Hamas' claims that the Palestinian security bodies oppressed marches in support of Al Aqsa on Friday in the West Bank are absolutely groundless.
Hamas groups tried to turn such solidarity manifestations into fierce clashes in Hebron and Nablus and the Palestinian security forces prevented violence to avoid victims and this is their duty, he said.
As for reports on the presence of Daesh elements in the Palestinian territories, he said there are no Palestinians among Daesh and this is related to Daesh's policy which has nothing to do with Palestine.
