
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Cairo on Saturday for summit talks with Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi, and would be also attending an Arab Foreign Ministers' meeting, due tomorrow.
Abbas will be briefing the Arab foreign ministers, meeting upon Arab League Secretary General Nabil Al-Araby's request, over the latest developments in Gaza Strip following the ceasefire agreement with Israel, official MENA news agency reported.
Abbas will also talk about Arab and international efforts to supporting the Palestinian endeavors to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, it added.
The Arab foreign ministers will start the day tomorrow with sideline consultations, then a meeting of a ministerial body tasked with following up implementation of the resolutions of previous meetings.
This body consists of the foreign ministers of Kuwait, Egypt, Mauritania, Libya and Morocco.
Kuwait will be represented by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
