President Mahmoud Abbas
Ramallah - MENA

The Palestinian leadership asserted Tuesday the importance of respecting the truce that put an end to the Israeli brutal aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza for more than 51 days in row.
In a statement released after a meeting of the Palestinian leadership under President Mahmoud Abbas, it stated that more than 2,000 Palestinian were martyred and 10,000 people injured.
Lessons and consequences of the Israeli aggression would be a motivator to push the Palestinians to unify the government, the statement read.
The statement asserted that the Palestinian leadership was committed to fight for freedom of the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails.
