Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas received on Sunday Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
In a press conference, Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki said the Kuwaiti top-diplomat's visit is historic, adding that Abbas and Al-Sabah have discussed bilateral ties and ways to foster it.
Al-Maliki underscored that the two countries have signed two highly important agreements, the first pertains to the establishment of a ministerial committee that works on deepening fraternal relations.
The second agreement is related with the establishment of a committee for political consultations between the foreign ministries of Palestine and Kuwait.
For his part, Al-Sabah said the talks touched on the bilateral relations, the recent developments in the region and the Palestinian cause.
