The Office of the Ombudsman held a workshop on investigation into gross complaints.
Former Northern Ireland's Prisoner Ombudsman Pauline McCabe, and Senior Investigating Officer in Northern Ireland Clare McVeigh lectured during the two-day workshop which ended yesterday.
The Ombudsman said that the workshop aimed to help its members acquire the basic experience and skills in conducting investigation into complaints related to gross incidents.
It added that the event is part of its on-going cooperation with British institutions experienced in the field of the ombudsman's work so as to ensure continuous training for its personnel and give them the chance to be informed about the best practices.
