OIC welcomes formation of Syrian Opposition National Coalition

The General Secretariat of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the agreement of the Syrian opposition forces at the end of their meeting yesterday in Doha, Qatar on the formation of National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces. The Secretariat hoped in a statement issued today that the decision of the Syrian opposition forces to unify their ranks will contribute to supporting regional and international efforts to find a peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Syrian people within the framework of preserving Syria's unity, security and stability.
