OIC, UNRWA discuss Palestinian refugees situation
JEDDAH - Arab Today
The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, OIC, Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, has met with the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, UNRWA, Pierre Krahenbuhl, and discussed mutual cooperation to mobilise support for the agency's budget to continue humanitarian assistance for Palestinian refugees.
In a statement, the OIC said that Al-Othaimeen reaffirmed the organisation's commitment to support UNRWA and to strengthen contributions by member states to its budget for Palestinian refugees.
