North Darfur Launches firearms collection campaign

The Wali (governor) of North Darfur State, Abdul Wahid Yousef launched, Tuesday, at the Popular Defense Forces Headquarters, at the state, the firearms collection campaign to implement the decision taken by the Presidency in this connection .
Yousef, addressing the occasion, has described the firearms collection campaign as basic issue that represents top priority to the state .
He considered the spread of fire arms as the biggest threat to security and peace, adding that reasons for holding of arms ended by defeating the rebellion and prevailing of peace and security in the region .
He affirmed that the government s serious concerning disarmament .
