No injuries in Dead Sea hotel fire in Jordan

Civil defence fire personnel on Saturday tackled a blaze that broke out at a sauna room at a Dead Sea hotel, but caused no injuries, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).It said the fire erupted at the room on the second floor of the Crown Plaza Hotel before the fire squad rushed in and managed to extinguish the flames, preventing them from spreading to the tourist facility on Dead Sea shores.It said civil defence personnel evacuated 15 members of the hotel staff from nearby areas, adding that a commission of inquiry had been appointed to look into the cause of the fire.
