Rabat - Arab Today

Egypt has not amended rules regulating the granting of visas to nationals of Arab Maghreb countries, said a statement by the Egyptian embassy in Morocco obtained by MENA.

The statement came to respond on media reports claiming that Egypt imposed new rules on the entry visas for Moroccan nationals.

Moroccan nationals are welcomed in Egypt at any time, the statement said.

The Egyptian and Moroccan governments are working to facilitate travel between both countries.

Bilateral meetings are due to be held next week to encourage tourism between the two countries.
