NIHR board holds 4th meeting

The National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Board of Commissioners held its fourth regular meeting.
NIHR Chairperson Maria Khoury chaired the session which was updated about complaints procedures, legal assistance and measures undertaken through the electronic system.
The NIHR Board of Commissioners approved the amendments of complaints procedural guidelines which were implemented in 2015.
The move aims at keeping abreast of changes after the promulgation of the amended NIHR decree law 20 of 2016 and the inauguration of the hotline allocated for reception of complaints.
The board was briefed about the committees’ work, legal assistance, monitoring through conventional media and social media websites and approved the 4th NIHR quarterly reports for 2017.
The board accepted a number of donations in support of the international forum on trade and human rights, to be held by the NIHR late in February.
