The National Congress(NC) and the Malaysian ruling Party, United Malays National Organization(UMNO) have underscored keenness to press ahead with consolidating ties of cooperation between the two parties in all fields as well as coordinating their political stances regionally and internationally.

NC Deputy Chairman for Party Affairs, Engineer Ibrahim Mahmoud said in press statements following his participation in sessions of UMNO General Conference , Thursday in Malaysian Capital, Kuala Lumpur indicated that the meeting affirmed cement of relations between the two parties and full readiness of the two sides to enhance future cooperation between the two countries .

Mahmoud referred to domains on which that Sudan and Malaysia could cooperate including the political field and particularly coordination of political stances at regional and international levels.

The NC Deputy Chairman for Party Affairs pointed to history of ties of joint cooperation between Sudan and Malaysia, especially in oil domain.
