Egypt's security bodies have carried out nationwide campaigns to seize unlicensed firearms and arrest outlaws, drug holders and dealers and fugitives.

In Minya, the campaigns resulted in seizing 14 firearms and 43 supply cases, enforcing 1,721 court rulings and arresting 36 motorcycles without plates.

As many as 14 people were nabbed in possession of unlicensed weapons and six people for having drugs. Police also seized 43 supply cases.

In Gharbiya, police arrested 290 fugitives, seven dangerous criminals, and seize eight firearms and 22 cold steel pieces.

Also, 11 members of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood were arrested in the governorate.

In Sharqiya, two jobless men were arrested over promoting narcotics.
