Dr. Ali Rashid Al Noaimi, Chancellor of United Arab Emirates University, UAEU, has stressed that the National Vision aims to make the UAE one of the happiest countries in the world as per the strategic vision of the wise leadership to enhance the National Charter for Happiness and Positivity.

He added that this vision is a commitment to creating the happiest environment in the country in a manner that reflects a set of inherent values of Emiratis in terms of rich heritage and ethical principles.

Dr. Al Noaimi said the UAEU spares no effort in developing and harmonising the university environment to achieve the happiness and positivity. He added the university is a pioneer in creating a happy environment for its employees and students, and promotes the positivity that leads to creativity and innovation, and contributes to increasing the capacity for efficiency and productivity of various university community components - students, faculty and staff.

This came during a meeting of happiness and positivity council held in Al Ain to review the initiatives and proposals of the team to address happiness and positivity at the university. It was chaired by Dr. Al Noaimi. Among others present were Dr. Mohammed Al Bili, Director of UAEU, Dr. Ahmed Al Zaabi, Executive Chairman of Happiness Committee, and the ambassadors of happiness, who are also the teaching staff, heads of departments and students.

The attendees reviewed ways to develop performance indicators to adapt the university plans to the National Happiness and Positivity Programme, as well as how to convert the service centres of the university to the Customer Happiness Centres.
