
The Muslim Scholars Committee on Tuesday deplored slaying a Lebanese soldier, the National News Agency in Lebanon reported.
It stressed that "such actions do neither serve the Syrian cause nor the peace in Lebanon."
The Scholars addressed the terrorists kidnapping the Lebanese soldiers to release them as soon as possible.
They also addressed the Lebanese state on the other side to press efforts to help facilitate the path for freeing the hostages.
The scholars expressed their readiness to engage in negotiations in the case of abducted soldiers when circumstances became appropriate, asserting they spared no effortsto end thes crisis.
