Drivers were badly affected by the weather with poor visibility and a lot of standing water.

Residents woke up to a deluge of rain as puddles gathered in the street and accidents slowed morning traffic on Tuesday.
Multiple accidents were reported in Dubai as police warned motorists against speeding in rainy conditions to avoid aquaplaning.
The Roads and Transport Authority also reminded motorists not to use heavy, sudden brakes.
Two accidents on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road lead to severe delays said to extend back into Ajman, with @TrafficDXB recommending Emirates Road as an alternative route.
One of the accidents took place near Arabian Ranches towards Sharjah with congestion also being caused in the opposite direction due to rubbernecking.
An accident on Umm Suqeim Street, after Miracle Gardens towards Al Khail flyover, also caused delays.
Tailbacks on Dubai-Al Ain Road were caused by an accident after Nad Al Sheba towards Ras Al Khor.
Another accident was reported on Emirates Road on the Maliha Road exit into Dubai causing tailbacks up until Sharjah — Dhaid Road.
On Sheikh Zayed Road, heavy traffic was reported from Internet City to Al Barsha 1, in the direction of World Trade Centre.
An accident just after Garhoud Bridge towards Abu Dhabi added congestion to rush hour which was already exacerbated by rain.
Another accident on the motorway took place before the last flyover towards Abu Dhabi.
Dubai Police reported an accident involving multiple vehicles after Mirdif City Centre bridge towards Sharjah.
