Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The Ministry of Defence celebrated the Flag Day, in line with the directives of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to mark the day coinciding with the accession of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the nation.

Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, raised the UAE flag at the Ministry of Defence this morning in the presence of Matar Salim Ali Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, as well as assistant under-secretaries, and a number of senior officers, officials, and employees of the Ministry of Defence.

Speaking on the occasion, Al Bowardi said, "The UAE’s celebration of the Flag Day on 3rd November each year represents a celebration of the great historical achievements and a long journey of giving, as well as the values of national unity under the union’s journey which represents the feelings of love and loyalty to this national precious symbol."
