The military enrollment law will be examined during the next legislative term of the National Assembly, stated the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on Wednesday.
"Everybody is keen on this law," stated Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah, following a ceremony marking the naming of the military engineering installations building after Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, the former Defense Undersecretary, at the ministry headquarters in Hawalli.
He praised the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser for his noticeable contributions to the ministry, saying that he was one of the founders of the engineering facility.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser passed away on April 15. He was 64.
He is remembered as a leader of the Kuwaiti resistance against the Iraqi aggression on Kuwait, waged on August 2, 1990.
