
The President of the Republic Fuad Masum, discussed on Monday with a delegation from the National List, headed by Adnan al-Janabi, the developments of the political situation and seek to form a government with a broad national representation and on the basis of competence and integrity.
A statement by his office said that the two sides also discussed how to allow engagement of political leaders in the circle of national decision-making and what makes these leaders and party leaders to play a vital role in the management of the state, and this is what enhances the role of the government, its ability to perform without obstacles and be acceptable to all.
He added: "The delegation blessed the vital initiative of Masum in the field of national reconciliation, as well as the National Council of the Supreme policies which it is hoped to include leaders and personalities from the forces of the House of Representatives and abroad, in addition to the anticipated role of the Supreme Defence Council, on which he confirmed.
Members of the delegation, according to the statement, expressed the vision of the national list, which looks at the nature of the government program, and stressed the need for availability of guarantees for the implementation of the program, also called for the importance of coordination with social events and to mobilize the street in various areas in the ongoing war against terrorism.
