Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nouhad Mashnouk, on Tuesday placed a wreath on the tomb of late Prime Minister, Rafik Hariri, marking Lebanon's Independence Day.
"Today we place a wreath on the tomb of the hero of Lebanon's second independence, martyr Rafik Hariri. With his martyrdom, he was able to give Lebanon a bigger and everlasting independence," Mashnouk said.
"The most important thing is that in a country like Lebanon, independence has become a permanent battle that never stops; the Lebanese are always ready, present, and able to attain their independence no matter how difficult and whatever powers stand in its way," he added
