No other vehicle was involved in incident which may have been caused by rider's negligence. A 24-year-old Emirati man died in the early morning hours of Wednesday when his motorcycle crashed at Salim Bin Ali Al Owais Street. An official at the Department of Traffic and Patrols at Sharjah Police said the incident was caused by speeding and reckless driving, and that the Emirati man was killed on the spot due to the strong impact of the crash. No other vehicle was involved and the incident, according to police, was a result of the motorist's negligence. An ambulance, rescue teams and police patrols were dispatched to the site, and the body was taken to hospital. "We urge those driving motorcycles to adhere to the speed limit and avoid driving recklessly, as they are not only endangering their lives but the lives of others as well," said the police official.
