Military strikes in Libya
Tripoli - MENA

Libyan parliament speaker Akila Saleh Issa asserted on Sunday that the parliament did not urge the international community to intervene via launching military strikes in Libya.
In statements to Sky News Arabia, he said Libya had not reached the stage of seeking foreign intervention to launch military strikes on the country, adding that the parliament only calls for protecting Libyans and to stop bloodshed and halting the flow of arms into Libya.
He stressed that the Libyans will decide their own fate in the coming few days.
In the meantime, Issa accused foreign entities for supporting militias in Libya in order to create chaos and conflict.
These statements come after Libyan parliament has earlier designated as terrorist groups the militia that announced control of Tripoli International Airport and other militias.
