Libya's national army has called on citizens to stay away from military targets as the army will launch military operations to "liberate" the capital city, local media al-Wasat reported on Sunday.
The army said that citizens should avoid places like militant camps, headquarters, ammunition depots and places where "terrorist force Libya Dawn stationed."
"All these places will be targeted by the army's air forces. And the Libyan army is not responsible for any damage to individuals close to these places, or any damage to public or private properties used by the terrorist group," the army said in a statement.
Tripoli has fallen into the hands of Libya Dawn since August. The armed Islamist coalition has set up its own regime to confront the internationally recognized one, which is currently on exile in the eastern town of Tobruk.
Earlier on Saturday, the national army declared that the operation to retake Tripoli from Libya Dawn had begun.
The national army, along with some pro-secular militia, recently has mounted several battles aiming to regain control of the lost cities and towns. During the last two weeks, fierce clashes in Benghazi have killed at least 356 people.
Libya has witnessed a drastic escalation of violence after the 2011 turmoil which toppled the former leader Muammar Gaddafi.
