Libya's congress extends mandate of interim PM

The Libyan General National Congress (parliament) decided Tuesday to extend for another 15 days the mandate of interim Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thuni pending a further decition on the status of his caretaker government. Al-Thuni was named interim premier a fortnight ago by the General National Congress after withdrawing confidence from Ali Zaydan.
