Grand Mufti of Lebanon Abdel-Latif Derian condemned the terrorist attack in North Sinai that took place on Friday and left dozens of soldiers dead and wounded.
In a statement Wednesday, the Lebanese top Sunni cleric hailed the supportive stance taken by the people to back President Abdel Fatah El Sisi in the fight against terrorism.
"The black internationalized terror" has neither home nor religion, he said, asserting, "the bombings would never weaken the determination of the Egyptian people."
The Grand Sheikh extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
