
The Lebanese army killed one Syrian national and arrested two others in a raid on a hideout in Aydamoun town in Akkar area, the Army said in a statement.
The statement noted the Syrian named Fuad Al-Arour attempted to throw a hand grenade at military personnel, who shot him dead instantly.
The statement added that army forces arrested two Syrians who were accompanying Al-Arour and have two grenades in their possession. They were handed over to the Military Tribunal on charges of belonging to "terrorist organizations." The Lebanese army has been conducting almost daily similar operations in the Akkar area in the past months to crack down on the outlawed.
