The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police has announced that the decision will be effective tomorrow, Sunday, 17th September, as part of the directorate's strategic priority to ensure safer roads and better traffic management.

Al Dhaheri called on bus drivers and companies transporting workers to abide by the ban throughout the day and to use the alternative routes that have been set in Abu Dhabi–Al Ain highway at Al Mafraq to better serve the vehicular and bus traffic to and from the Workers City.

He added that the new routes must be abided by, and violators will be fined AED1,000 and four traffic points as per Ministerial Resolution No. 178 of 2017 on Rules and Procedures of Traffic Control.
