We condemn the unjustly Israeli act of closing the Holy Aqsa Mosque in the face of worshippers, Kuwait's National Assembly Speaker and Chairman of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) Marzouq Al-Ghanim said Friday.
In a press release, Al-Ghanim said that the international community, especially the UN and major countries sponsoring the Middle East peace process, should stop such Israeli acts from reoccurring.
Preventing Muslims from entering the holy shrine is a heinous violation to Jerusalem's holy status, said Al-Ghanim, stressing that Israel's act was a clear indication that the international community was turning a blind eye to the situation.
