Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said on Saturday that Kuwait recalls in this day its brave soldiers who unified their ranks in the darkest times of the nation.
Speaking on the 24th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the minister recalled those prisoners and martyrs who sacrificed their most precious possessions for the homeland and did not return to their families and loved ones.
He said in a statement "we will stay forever grateful to all those who have joined the valiant Kuwaiti forces which secured our freedom and restored democracy with their blood." "We want the people of the 34 countries who joined the coalition to liberate Kuwait to know that we will never forget their contributions to secure our freedom when a lot of Kuwaitis suffered and lived in fear", he noted.
