Minister of Social Affairs and Labour Hend Al-Sabeeh arrived on Tuesday in Doha to attend the Fourth GCC Festival for Social Work which will kick off Wednesday and lasts five days.
Upon arrival, Al-Sabeeh was greeted by Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Al-Khulaifi and a number of senior Ministry officials including Kuwait Ambassador to Qatar Metib Al-Mutotah.
The minister told KUNA that she was honored to represent Kuwait at the festival as well as being the president of the 31st session of GCC social affairs and labor meetings.
"Tomorrow, on behalf of Kuwait Ministry of Social Affairs I will deliver a speech during the festival and will attend an exhibition as representative of GCC officials," Al-Sabeeh said.
The minister expressed Kuwait's keenness in hosting similar festivals due to its close affinity to civil society, particularly as the event aims to shed light on productive families and employment opportunities for women.
