Kuwaiti minister holds talks with deputy chief of Saudi intelligence

Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on Thursday held talks with visiting Deputy Chief of Saudi General Intelligence Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Badr Al Saud.
The talks focused on the latest developments on regional and international arenas as well as issues of common interest, said a statement by Kuwait's Interior Ministry.
In the meeting with Prince Abdulaziz and the delegation accompanying him, Sheikh Mohammad Khaled stressed depth of relations between the two sisterly countries, hailing their constructive and fruitful cooperation, the statement added.
Senior security officials from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were present at the meeting.
Earlier in the day, Sheikh Mohammad Khaled received Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq Ghassan Al-Zawawi, another statement by the ministry said.
In the meeting, they mulled a number of security issues in favor of the two countries, it said, adding the minister commended efforts of Ambassador Al-Zawawi.
