Advisor at the Department for Legal Advice (Fatwa) and Legislation Salah Hussein Al-M'sed, expressed his appreciation and pride at the United Nations' designation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as "humanitarian leader" and Kuwait as an international humanitarian hub.
Al-M'sed said in a statement Thursday that this occasion came about because of His Highness the Amir's hard work in the Foreign Ministry throughout his career and his efforts at elevating Kuwait's national status through its policy of neutrality and its acting role as mediator between nations with differing views.
Al-M'sed added that His Highness the Amir had also contributed in initiating the United Nation's role in resolving world crises, be they wars, natural crises, or poverty and famine.
The UN will honor Sheikh Sabah during a ceremony in the UN headquarters this month.
