
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace on Wednesday, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and the GCC Ministers of Information participating in the 22nd meeting being held here.
The meeting was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.
His Highness the Amir underscored the importance of finding out a cultural vision and a single Gulf message in media to combat risks that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the whole region are facing.
His Highness the Amir stressed the keenness of the GCC's leaderships on enhancing common cooperation that promotes the Gulf unity in front of challenges in the region.
For his part, Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja praised the directives of His Highness the Amir and all GCC's leaderships, underling the importance of media role in the age of information technology and social media.
According to Minister Khoja, the information technology and social media will push media to be more effective and accurate.
