The Cabinet, in a statement, expressed deep appreciation for the Saudi Monarch's invitation to the leaders of the other GCC states, noting King Abdullah's keenness on backing "the GCC march and realizing integration among the Council states for sake of serving interests of the GCC citizens." It noted the positive and constructive atmosphere that distinguished the GCC leaders' discussions, expressing pride in the good-will and continuous efforts, exerted by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for cementing unification "of this leading Gulf entity," reflecting His Highness' in-depth outlook, keenness on maintaining the Council as well as his awareness of the challenges and hazards facing the GCC states.
Such an approach on part of His Highness the Amir tangibly manifests his strong belief in the GCC single destiny and objectives.
Moreover, the Kuwaiti Government affirmed that the historic agreement, the Riyadh Accord, would contribute to cementing the GCC states' unity and safeguard the GCC interests and citizens' future. Furthermore, it will open "new horizons for serious cooperation among the States of the Council that will back up our joint action and fortify the member countries in shadow of the very sensitive conditions prevailing in the region." The Cabinet is looking forward, with optimism, to the GCC leaders' next Summit, due to be hosted by Doha, for further boost of the joint action, the countries' security, stability and prosperity.
The statement, genuinely, alluded to the Riyadh Accord, according to which Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain agreed to reinstate their ambassadors to Qatar.
