The 18th meeting of the GCC member states' municipal affairs is to kick off here on Tuesday.
The participants are expected to mainly discuss a host of significant issues bearing on city beautification plans and relevant joint guidelines.
The Kuwait Municipality said in a statement the meeting will thrash out a number of topics as part of promoting municipal activities in the GCC countries, primarily rules for a new Gulf municipal award.
Participating delegations have been flowing to Kuwait since Sunday evening, it said, adding that they were welcomed by the chief of the Kuwait Municipality and head of the current GCC municipal meeting, Ahmad Al-Sabeeh.
Al-Sabeeh was quoted as hoping that the meeting would come up with recommendations and resolutions that could lead to Gulf municipal development.
