The National Assembly's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee has approved majority of the government-proposed amendments to law No. 7 of 2008 on Build, Operate and Transfer (B.O.T) system and similar project-financing systems.
In a press statement, the Committee Chairman MP Faisal Al-Shaya said the committee has referred its report on the amendments to the National Assembly's general session for more deliberation and approval.
Al-Shaya revealed that the committee members have rejected a government proposal to amend article seven of the law, relative to projects existent before the enforcement of the law.
