Kuwait ministry appreciates parents' initiative against extremist groups

The Ministry of Interior lauded the "constructive, fruitful and positive" cooperation by parents who reported that their children were deluded and joined extremist groups, it said on Friday.
Parents have done so motivated by their "love and loyalty to their country's security and stability", the Ministry's Security Media Department said in a statement.
It warned against attempts to deceive young people by false targets and slogans on Jihad through suspicious social media and other anomalous means of communication.
The Ministry referred to security precautions being taken, investigations, data gathering as well as prosecution, in a serious bid to protect young people against falling prey to "terrorist groups." It thanked citizens and urged them for more cooperation, reporting whatever information they regard important for security.
