
Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said on Thursday all matters bearing on National Assembly by-elections are going well.
While touring polling stations, Sheikh Mohammad Khaled, who doubles as acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, said: "Everything is going well, turnout is excellent and will even increase later." He voiced pleasure at the good atmosphere of the electoral process and appreciated the efforts of all ministries and state bodies for ensuring smooth and secure by-elections.
Voters in the second, third and fourth constituencies headed to polling stations on Thursday to vote in Kuwait's 10th National Assembly by-elections for five representatives following the resignation of five deputies.
The number of eligible voters in the second constituency is 50,704, including 23,986 men and 26,718 women, the third constituency 78,601, including 35,838 men and 42,763 women, and the fourth constituency 118,496, including 54,319 men and 64,177 women, according to Supreme Elections Commission figures
