
Kuwait hosted on Tuesday the 7th meeting of assistants of public prosecutors, attorney-generals and heads of public investigation bodies in the Gulf Cooperation Council member states.
During the opening speech, First Attorney-General Mohammad Faheed Al-Zoghby said the two-day meeting is interested in discussing the agenda presented to senior prosecutors of those judicial institutions.
Al-Zoghby hopes that the meeting could make an achievement to be an addition to previous accomplishments of the GCC meetings to meet the demands of the GCC countries and citizens.
Addressing the meeting, GCC Assistant Secretary General for Legal Affairs Ambassador Hamad Rashed Al-Marri said that the meeting is held in the framework of achieving rapprochement and integration among Gulf prosecutions, public investigation bodies and attorney-generals.
GCC Public Prosecutors, attorney-generals and heads of public investigation authorities will review the issues on the meeting's agenda aiming to consolidate joint GCC action, Ambassador Al-Marri said.
