
State of Kuwait hosted on Thursday the 12th consultative meeting of the supreme military committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), headed by Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Mohammad Khaled Al-Khuder.
The meeting was held with the participation of chiefs of staff in the GCC, Assistant Secretary General for Military Affairs and the Peninsula Shield Forces commander, the Moral Guidance Department at the head of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said in a press statement.
The meetings of the Committee aim to strengthen the bonds of joint military action and achieve greater coordination between the armed forces of the GCC, it added.
They also came at the direction of the GCC leaders who are paying attention to maintain the security and stability of the countries in the region and enhancing military cooperation and joint defense.
The meeting was also attended by a delegation of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and a number of Kuwaiti and GCC military commanders.
