Kuwait "vehemently condemns and denounces" the series of air raids currently being launched by Israel on Gaza, which have led to numerous Palestinian casualties, said a Foreign Ministry senior source on Thursday.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, the source called on the international community, the Security Council in particular, to shoulder its responsibility on the matter in putting a stop to the violence caused by the "Israeli war machine", and to take adequate measures in order to achieve an immediate compliance of a ceasefire.
Also, to "ensure measures in the protection of Palestinian civilians, support efforts that ensure commitment to the truce reached in November, 2012, to double efforts that oblige Israel to commit to its previous obligations, and to enable the appropriate atmosphere for the continuation of the Middle East Peace Process according to international laws of legitimacy, the road-map and the Arab Peace Initiative.
