King reiterates unwavering support to Palestinian people

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today Secretary General of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO)' s Executive Committee Dr. Saeb Erikat who conveyed to him the greetings of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and his best wishes of more progress and prosperity to Bahrain.
Dr. Erikat also conveyed to HM the King thanks and appreciation of the Palestinian President and people of Bahrain's honourable stances in support of the Palestinian just cause.

HM the King welcomed Dr. Saeb Erikat and asked him to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Palestinian President and people, lauding strong fraternal relations between both countries. He commended the Palestinian President's efforts to serve the Palestinian issue as well as boost unity of the Palestinian people and achieve their aspirations.

HM the King reiterated Bahrain's unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian people in their struggle to obtain their full legitimate national rights and establish their independent state with its capital Al-Quds. He also underlined Bahrain's support to all efforts aimed at achieving a just, permanent and comprehensive peace in the region on the basis of the UN resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.

HM the King pointed out the importance of achieving reconciliation among the Palestinian people in order to regain their full national rights.

On his part, Dr. Erikat briefed HM the King on the latest developments in Palestine, voicing appreciation of the Palestinian leadership and people of HM the King's honourable stances in support of the Palestinian issue. He also commended Bahrain's contribution to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
