King: Bahrain Gives Top Priority to Palestine, Syria and Yemen

Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa said on Sunday his country gives top priority to the Palestinian issue, Syria's territorial integrity and restoration of Yemeni legitimacy.

    Addressing a new parliamentary session, the Bahraini King said it is imperative to find a just and everlasting solution to the Palestinian cause, ensuring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, mainly an independent Palestinian state.

    On Syria, he said: "We support the territorial integrity of Syria and the achievement of the aspirations of the Syrian people for security and stability, according to their free will, and in a way that helps Syria revert to its cultural heritage and role within the Arab world." Regarding Yemen, the Bahraini King reaffirmed the Kingdom's continuing commitment to the Arab coalition until Yemen's legitimacy, security and stability are restored, illegitimate foreign interference is stopped and the Yemeni people's sufferings are lifted.

    Furthermore, he called for resolutely fighting terrorism and cutting off its finance sources due to its exceptional challenges to the region's people.
