Investment Minister Ashraf Salman asserted that the visit of Saudi King Adbullah bin Abdel Aziz to Egypt will open new horizons for the Arab region as it carries several messages at home and abroad.
In statements to "Okaz" newspaper out on Sunday, Salman said King Adbullah's visit completes the historic role played by the Saudi monarch in closing the Arab ranks in the face of the serious challenges facing the region.
King Abdullah was keen on declaring his backing for Egypt in more than an occasion, said the minister, citing the call of the Saudi king for sisterly and friendly countries to back Egypt at such critical timing.
The visit would also shape a new phase of inter-Arab relations that could be further beefed up in future, he added.
The minister also said his ministry will work in the coming phase on settling the problems of investors and lure new investments to the local market.
He also pointed out that he will refer several amendments on the laws regulating investments to the newly-formed legislative reform council.
