Karti meets president of South Sudan state

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Ahmed Karti, in the framework of his participation at the 69 th session of the United Nations General Assembly, met with Salva Kiir Mayardit the President of South Sudan state.
The Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , Ambassador Dr. Yousif Al-Kordufani indicated in statement to SUNA that the meeting has reviewed the process of the implementation of the cooperation agreements between the two countries and the work for the resolve of the outstanding issues that hinder the enhancement of the relations between the two sister countries, noting to the Foreign Minister stress on the keenness of the Sudan on the stability of the state of South Sudan and to overcome the challenges it is facing and the Sudan contributions in the framework of the IGAD initiative to find a solution to the ongoing conflict between the parties in Southern Sudan.
President Salva Kirr has expressed south sudan state appreciation to the efforts being exerted by the Sudan for the solution of the South Sudan crisis and its keenness to promote the relations between the two countries.
