
Kuwait's "Journey of Hope," a humanitarian expedition touring the world by sea to drum up support for cases of mental impairement, on Monday met with Governor of Dhofar Mohammed bin Sultan Al Busaidi where he praised the activists' efforts for service of this social- humanitarian cause.
Kuwait's "Journey of Hope" boat arrived in Salalah on Sunday on its way back home following the worldwide tour, aimed at conveying the social and humanitarian message of drawing support for the mentally-disabled people.
The journey members said during the meeting that the journey, launched under auspices of His Highness the Amir, aims to deliver a message from the State of Kuwait to the international organizations concerned with this segment of people to help them integrate them into the societies.
The meeting was also attended by Kuwait Embassy's Charge D'affaires Jasem Abu Marzouq and number of Omani officials.
The Kuwaiti sea expedition had gotten underway in Kuwait in early May, passing through 20 countries and 39 ports.
